Industrial Electrician

EOM is seeking an individual to perform highly technical electrical and electronic repairs to ensure the efficient installation and maintenance of various electrical and/or electronic equipment devices. Must comply with all safety procedures and be knowledgeable in environmental regulations as it impacts the facilities.


SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

Have strong safety practices, able to work well on a team 

Demonstrable knowledge and skills for electrical installation, maintenance and repair of electrical systems and equipment. Install, maintain, modify and repair all electrical distribution systems and associated electrical equipment. 

Remain in compliance with current National Electric Code. 

Inspect and test components of electrical systems, including transformers, transfer switches, HOA/PLC controls and switch gear 

Understands conduit installation calculations and is able to completely install conduits SYSTEMS needed. 

Complete work orders and record material utilized on jobs. 

Run computer cables, connect computer jacks and plugs and test for adequate operation. 

Utilize blueprints, wiring diagrams and manufacturer’s installation manuals to complete assigned projects. 

Survey electrical systems, circuits and plans. 

Have complete understanding of equipment operations to perform task above.

Ability to read and understand operating manuals and written instructions, complex wiring diagrams, schematics, blueprints and technical materials. 

Must have demonstrated math ability and knowledge of and/or experience with electrical codes, principles and theories applicable to the installation and maintenance of electrical equipment to include solid state electronic components and electrical/electronic circuits, both single phase and multiphase circuits. 

Knowledge of and familiarity with preventative and predictive maintenance management programs. 

Perform related duties as required 


WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS 

5 years’ experience in control systems 

Operational characteristics of maintenance and construction equipment and tools used in work activities. 

Occupational hazards and standards of safety practices.  Mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic principles related to the operation of collection system equipment. 

Motor vehicles, generators, pumps, gauges, common hand and power tools, shovels, wrenches, detection devices, and a variety of related equipment.
