Summer Engineering Intern
Job Purpose:
Engineering interns are an essential part of the team and are assigned tasks that challenge the development of the student’s technical skills while introducing them to electrical distribution engineering.
Duties:
Drawing electrical circuits
Assisting with GIS mapping
Compiling and analyzing electrical data
Staking of electrical distribution construction projects
Field experience of electrical distribution construction
Performs other job related duties as assigned
Educational Requirements/Qualifications:
Must be currently enrolled in an engineering or related program, junior or senior classification
Abilities / Skills:
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software, good verbal and written communication skills, must display professionalism and maturity

Details: The position begins June 3, 2024 and ends July 26, 2024. Interns are expected to work 40 hours per week |
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions; the work is performed fifty (50) percent outdoors and fifty (50) percent indoors. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distant, color, peripheral, and depth vision, and the ability to adjust focus. This job requires employee to be able to maneuver over rough or uneven terrain. The position requires specific safety equipment and the employee is required to follow prescribed safety rules.
